Carefully orchestrated and a unique, rustic look made this wedding at The Ancaster Mill an unforgettable one for the bride and groom as well as their guests. The elegant details, wonderful food, and heartfelt speeches made this occasion particularly special, though the wedding décor played a major role in tying in the multiple themes that are present in its design. The joy that was shared among family and friends was a privilege to witness, and in such a beautiful location, the wedding ceremony was second to none in its rustic romance. It was our pleasure to have played a role in pulling off this one of a kind wedding.

The white and purple floral arrangements highlighted by the soft glow of candles set the mood for what would be an unforgettable day. The wine barrels stationed near the entrance and exit helped to communicate the significance of the celebration that would happen throughout the course of the day. After examining the Ancaster Mill property and investigating the resources available to us, we spend many hours with the bride and groom, answering questions and putting on paper their vision, navigating decisions, and ultimately the plan that would eventually shake out to what you see here.
For the wedding ceremony décor, the arbour draping was used to give the outdoor area a little more romance, and the wine barrels were used as props to set their beautiful flowers on.

The wedding reception décor based itself around the soft glow of candles. The photos seen here, courtesy of HRM Photography, highlight the range of details that were incorporated onto items such as the lace head table which was used to add romance and elegance, and the rustic crates and wine barrels which were used adhering to the couple’s theme and interests.

Seeing the bride and groom’s vision realized, and watching them enjoy the day, celebrating with friends and family, was a real joy to watch. Though there was a threat of rain, that didn’t ruin the festivities inside which ended up being absolutely breathtaking.

If you’re looking at having a rustic, romantic wedding ceremony at Ancaster Mill or another venue, a wedding décor arrangement such as this can work wonders. Think beautifully crafted organic details original to the bride and groom’s interests and desires, incorporating nature such as wood and trees into the room, and light dustings of additional detail to open up and highlight the beauty of the wedding. At the end of the day, it’s all worth it when the end product is an undivided union between two.
