In the wedding décor industry, we meet new couples on the regular. Something we oftentimes hear when discussing certain décor elements are worries that something’s so expected that it’s overdone.
For some brides and grooms, that causes them to move towards using a mix of traditional, expected components and more alternative accents and colours. For this Liuna Station wedding in Hamilton, Ontario, it was certainly a mix of the expected and unexpected.
Using subtly as a guide, we dressed up an already-exquisite Liuna Station to reflect the marrying couple’s wishes. Adding into the mix was a taupe backdrop, ivory lace linens, gold candelabras, and strategically placed chandeliers. As you see here, we lit up key areas in this Liuna Station space to put emphasis on the bride and groom.

For example, the way the walls and ceiling look help will us to determine what the backdrop needs to look like. Also, it’ll let us know if anything should be done to dress up the ceiling. Being a wedding, we know a lot of pictures are going to be taken from lots of different angles.
